  • Nope. Your camcorder arrives fully charged and ready to film. Point it at people. Press the red button. That's all there is to it. We include a shot list guide in every kit so your guests know what to capture.

  • We recommend at least 4–6 weeks ahead, especially during peak wedding season (October–March). Last-minute bookings may be possible subject to availability, but we can't guarantee delivery timeframes for bookings made within 14 days of your event.

  • Not at all! Camcorder Club works for any occasion worth remembering - 30ths, 40ths, hens and bucks weekends, baby showers, gender reveals, births (yes, really), reunions, graduations, and beyond. If there's a moment you want captured, we've got a camcorder for it.

  • Absolutely, and many couples do. A professional gets the polished shots; your guests get the real ones. They work beautifully together. It's best to let your videographer know beforehand so they aren't surprised when the camcorder comes out.

Getting Started

  • We dispatch your kit 5–7 days before your event so it arrives with plenty of time to spare. If you haven't received it 2 days before your event, contact us straight away. And for our locals, if you live in the Canberra region we can organise drop off and pick up.

  • Yes! We ship to all Australian states and territories via tracked courier. Remote or rural areas may require additional lead time, so book early if you're outside a capital city.

  • A prepaid return label is included in your kit. After your event, pack everything back in the original box using the foam inserts, stick the label on, and drop it at any Australia Post location. That's it.

  • You need to return the camcorder within 2–3 business days of your event. For example, if your event is on a Saturday, please post it by Monday or Tuesday. Late returns may incur a fee and delay your editing.

Delivery & Logistics

Filming

  • Anyone you trust to point it at people! We recommend assigning 1–2 specific guests to be 'in charge' of the camcorder throughout the event. That way it doesn't get lost in a bag or forgotten on a table. A shot list is included to help them know what to capture.

  • Each battery lasts approximately 2–3 hours of continuous recording. We include 2 batteries and a charger in every kit, so you'll have plenty of power for a full day's event. We recommend charging both batteries the night before.

  • A 128GB SD card holds approximately 16–20 hours of HD footage - more than enough for even the longest event. The Club Double includes two SD cards, one per camera.

  • Yes, the camcorder does record audio. However, please note that our edited films do not include audio from the camcorder recording - we use licensed music instead. This is because we can't guarantee audio quality in a busy, loud event setting. You will still receive all your raw clips with their original audio attached.

  • Our camcorders are not waterproof. Please keep them away from rain, moisture, and extreme heat. If your event has outdoor elements, assign a guest who can keep an eye on the camera and bring it inside if needed.

  • The camcorder has a standard tripod mount, so yes - any standard tripod will work. We don't include one in the kit, but it can be a great addition for speeches or ceremony coverage.

Editing and Footage Delivery

  • Your edited film and raw footage is delivered within 28 days (or 14 days if you've added a rush edit). We'll send you a link to your Drive folder as soon as it's ready.

  • Everything. All individual clips exactly as they were filmed. Nothing is deleted. Everything is yours.

  • Our editors take the best moments from your raw footage and cut them into a cohesive highlight film, with a sick backing track. The edit length depends on your package. You can find out more here.

  • No - unfortunately we don't do any edits using recorded audio from the camcorder as we can't guarantee the quality of filming. You will still have all your audio attached to the raw footage though!

  • Kinda! When you book, you'll fill out a little quiz (aka questionaire) where you tell us your vibe, preferred genres or artists, and any specific songs you'd love. We'll do our best to match the feel you're after. All music used in edits is properly licensed.

  • Every package includes one round of minor revisions - swapping a music track, reordering a scene, trimming a moment, that kind of thing. We want you to love it. Major re-edits or a completely different version are available as an add-on.

  • Everything is delivered via Google Drive. You'll receive a shareable link to your folder containing your edited film and all raw footage. We recommend downloading everything as soon as possible and backing it up in multiple places.

  • Again, kinda! You can describe your preferred vibe in your questionnaire and we'll do our best to match it but we do have a bit of a vibe of our own that all our edits will reflect. Think honest, nostalgic, and fun.
